Hours: 32.5 hrs per week Term Time Only plus 3 Training days & 4 Activity Days
Do you have professional experience in woking with young people
We are looking for a Youth Engagement Worker at Art Inc. Art Inc provides Art workshops for young people who are at risk of school refusal through anxiety or low mood and for students where their challenging behaviour means they are at risk of school exclusion. We run workshops from Monday-Friday. Working hours are 8:30 to 3:30.
Your role would include
Supporting young peole to engage positively in workshops
Work and communicate with young people, their families and other professionals to ensure a holistic service that supports their development and growth
Plan and deliver projects that engage our young people, raise the status of Art Inc and enrich our community
Demonstrate best practice to ensure the safety and welfare of our young people
Engage in continuous professional development and training
Desirable qualifications
ELSA
First Aid
DSL
HLTA
Counselling
Art GCSE/A’ Level or higher
We are a new initiative and there may be further opportunities for progression as our service grows. This is an exciting opportunity to build a valuable skill base.

Volunteer Art Youth Worker
Do you like Art? Did you find school difficult? A challenging start in life may support your application.
Can you build good relationships with young people?
We are looking for volunteers to work at Art Inc. Art Inc provides Art workshops for young people who are at risk of school refusal through anxiety or low mood and for students where their challenging behaviour means they are at risk of school exclusion. We run workshops from Monday-Friday. We would expect volunteers to start at 8:45 to be prepared for our young people at 9:00 Students finish at 3:00 and we would expect staff to finish at 3:15. Our volunteers will support staff in delivering our workshops and engaging with our young people so their Art Inc experience is successful. We would be flexible and could offer mornings, afternoons or just specific days depending on the right candidate.
We are a new initiative and workshops will go live in September. Full training on the job will be given beforehand. There may be further opportunities for progression as our service grows. This is an exciting opportunity to build a valuable skill base.
